Central Park is a gated community filled with acres of lush landscaping, 29 lakes, 7 nature wetlands, environmentally conscious building techniques, family and dog friendly amenities, access to the best schools in the area, and a friendly and social atmosphere. The community has a social committee that puts on a variety of community events for all, and many of the neighbors have developed their own book clubs, running clubs, mahjong clubs, etc.
Originally developed by Pat Neal, homes in Central Park are FGBC certified green homes. Other builders who built in here are Cardel, Lee Wetherington, and Bruce Williams. Each section of the community is aptly named after a famous park in the US.
Situated directly in the center of the community is 10-acres of fun for all residents filled with: playground and splash pad, sports fields, 2 dog parks, trails, concession stand & outdoor pavilion, tennis courts, etc.
Located in the Education Corridor of Lakewood Ranch, Central Park is surrounded by A-rated K-12 schools just outside the gates: Gullett Elementary, Dr. Mona Jain Middle, and Lakewood Ranch High School. Also within blocks are continuing education schools such as: LECOM, Manatee technical College East Campus, etc
Fences are allowed in this community with HOA approval provided they are not in a maintenance-free section or not on a water-lot.
Maintenance free sections are Brickell Park and Claremont Park. The community pool is exclusive to Claremont Park residents only. The HOA fees in the community therefore reflect the different offerings of each section within the neighborhood.
